Committee members have made several visits to Jemma Pearson’s studio at Clun to see the progress on the bust and make suggestions for any alterations.
Jemma has worked so hard to refine the image and also capture the spirit of Mary Webb in this beautiful work.
The full-sized bust is now at the moulding stage and will shortly be cast in bronze at Castle Fine Arts foundry, Oswestry.
The bust will be mounted on a Grinshill stone plinth and will be sited in the garden area in front of Shrewsbury library.
It will be unveiled on Saturday 9th July 2016 by Donald Meredith, nephew of Mary Webb.
