The Mary Webb Society

2016 will be a very exciting year for The Mary Webb Society. We will be celebrating the centenary of the first novel The Golden Arrow. We have been offered a major exhibition at the new Museum & Art Gallery in Shrewsbury from 7th March to 12th June.

We have also commissioned a local artist to design a bronze bust on a stone plinth to be located in a prominent outdoor location in Shrewsbury. The details are yet to be agreed and refined, so more later. This is a major coup for the Society and a chance to raise the profile of Mary Webb in her home county. These projects have been made possible by the generous legacy of the late Muriel Furbank. Further projects are also in the pipeline, more updates later.
